Swiss National EdTech Testbed Program: testing digital tools in schools

About Us

The Swiss EdTech Collider, a not-for profit association founded in 2017 located in the dynamic and vibrant EPFL Innovation Park and in close proximity to LEARN - EPFL’s Center for Learning Sciences in Lausanne, is Switzerland’s first collaborative and membership space dedicated to ambitious entrepreneurs transforming education and learning through technology.

We offer both a modern, physical co-working space as well as a virtual space (via a membership platform) for our members, where like-minded EdTech startups and entrepreneurs can meet and share expertise, knowledge, best practices and develop co-operations and synergies in creating new innovative tools for the support of the digital transformation in education and learning in a variety of industries.

Unlike a classic startup incubator or acceleration program, we act as a ‘lifelong’ partner for EdTech entrepreneurs by offering ongoing support and access to edtech experts, schools, educational institutions, SME's, corporations, industry leaders and investors.

Our Vision and Mission

We believe Switzerland has the potential to become a global leader in education technology. With EPFL taking leadership in the European MOOC landscape and research in learning sciences, Switzerland has become an important hub for digital education. This development is further fuelled by EPFL professors leading cutting-edge research projects on learning technologies and digital innovation.

Promising education technology startups are emerging in Switzerland and beyond. Bringing these actors together and helping them thrive by offering a collaborative space and building a strong support ecosystem around EdTech, can significantly contribute to the development of the Swiss education and learning technology sector and hence positively impact Switzerland's society at large.

The Swiss EdTech Collider aims to support those EdTech startups in achieving their business objectives - namely helping schools, SME’s as well as large organisations in their digital transformation of education and training - by enabling them to be part of a unique EdTech ecosystem in order to develop their innovations and technologies.
